Shaver Lake, California scorpion - Uroctonus mordax

Shaver Lake, California scorpion - Uroctonus mordax
Shaver Lake, Fresno County, California, USA
September 20, 2012
Size: 1.5 inches
I have a cabin at Shaver Lake, California which is about 5,000 feet in elevation. The cabin is two story and has a 5' tall crawl/walk space underneath. I have found four of these scorpions in my downstairs bathroom this Summer. What type of scorpion is it and do you have any advice on how to control them?

uroctonus spp
maybe, but I'd wait for Kari McWest to give his input, he is the man to speak with regarding scorpions

Thanks!... but...
The quality of the photo... way too dark and low resolution... makes it difficult to properly identify. Two species withhands like these are Uroctonus mordax and Pseudouroctonus iviei. I'm going with U. mordax due to lack of enlarged spinoid granules on the tail segments.
