Size: 6.3mm
Sorry for the mangled elytrae, but that's how I found this beetle, and it's alive in the shot.

Disonycha caroliniana (Fabricius)
Moved from Disonycha. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Tom.

A wonderful abnormality here. The left elytron is inflated like a balloon while the right elytron has an indentation apically. It also exhibits a "bleeding" of the red vittae into large red splotches. Must have been caused by an unlucky accident while pupating.
