based on my microscopic examination of this female specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. Thanks Tom.

Range: spotty distribution in west, southeast, and northeast.
Compared to similar B cordicollis this species with proepipleura pubescent, shoulders somewhat sloped, metepisternum not entirely dark, elytral surface with fine short transverse rugae (wrinkles), and average body size probably smaller. This one measures ABL ~ 7.2 mm.
