White-dotted Groundling Moth - Hodges #9690
Moved from ID Request.

Congrats, Marcia. You just added a new species for Virginia

White-dotted Groundling
well, the Condica genus seems correct, however; I am wondering about the scalloped am line, I've photographed other White-dotted Groundlings but there was no distinct am line ... could this be a variant species?

You are so right
Sorry about that. I just looked at the color and white spots. See what you think about the Dusky (9696) or Mobile (9693)

Condica sp.
It seems too light to be a Dusky Groundling, what do you think about the crazy "part" in its hair? I've added another photograph of the same individual that I took earlier in the night .. not as sharp an image as the photo in daylight, but maybe will give us a clearer idea as to who this little guy might be ...

It has to be a

better match
your individual has a similarly scalloped am line as mine
