little black spider with white stripe - Oxyopes tridens

little black spider with white stripe - Oxyopes tridens
Midland, Midland County, Texas, USA
September 20, 2012
Size: very small
I tipped a porch chair back a bit to look at the bottom, and I noticed a little spider climbing quickly up a line of silk to get back on top of the chair.
I couldn't tell if it was a jumping spider, because it moved quickly, or if it was a baby of another species like a wolf spider. I haven't found any jumping or wolf spiders that match yet. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

The dorsal marking makes us think
O. tridens

Will have to hit the books to see if it is found in Texas.

Lynx spider
Family Oxyopidae. Looks like something in genus Oxyopes, but I can't tell you which species. There are quite a few in TX. Cute spider!
