No dice - now Grasshoppers of Wyoming and the West
at the University of Wyoming seems to be totally defunct.
Some of the links listed above are still good, but the UW links are non-functional. Here are some links that work at present (September, 2015). The first is the main page for what appears to be the current USDA replacement for the former UW "Grasshoppers of Wyoming and the West". Some of the links supplied at the new web site do not function, but the sites they went to are among the following links that do work:

+ Grasshoppers, Their Biology, Identification and Manangement (USDA)
+ Common Western Grasshoppers (UW, 2nd ed. 1994)
+ Common Western Grasshoppers (UW, 3rd ed. 2002) pdf available
+ Colorado Grasshoppers (UW version)
+ Michigan Grasshoppers (MSU) pdf, complete version
+ Kansas Grasshoppers pdf
+ Nebraska Grasshoppers (UNL) pdf
+ New Mexico Grasshoppers (UW version)
+ New Mexico Grasshoppers (NMSU version)
+ Northern Great Plains Grasshoppers (NDSU)
+ Texhoma-Goodwell, Oklahoma Grasshoppers
+ Western Grasshopper Field Guide (UW)
+ Wisconsin Grasshoppers pdf
+ Wyoming Grasshopper Key (UW)
+ Wyoming Grasshopper Atlas (UW)

Thank you
It appears that Wyoming finally got most of this reconstructed and up on a working web site again. The "other grasshopper links" page is totally non-functional, but hopefully this will be rectified soon.

Many of the links I posted above in March are useless now, but equivalents are available now at this updated URL.

I can't find the equivalent of what was there a year ago.
There was a main page under this title that listed many resources for identification and control of grasshoppers in the western U.S., but now I can't find that page.

W.U. seems to have a habit of frequently shaking up their web site, and it could be that this will all re-appear again with a new url(?).

Much had already moved to the "lucidcentral" web site some time back, but I can only find a fraction of the material there now. Anything located at "www.uwyo.edu" seems to move around a lot.

I have listed links to as many of the resources that used to be included here as I can locate today, but I haven't found everything. Odds are that it is all still there, just not linked neetly together for now. Some of the included links on these pages don't work anymore either. Several of these are referenced separately here on BugGuide, but the included links may not work for all of these anymore either and we'll need to keep checking them. Some of the identification keys referenced here, in an effort to become more "user friendly", have become (I think) more awkward to use:
