I found a few of these yesturday. They were interesting little flies, they didn't fly away easily and made great photo subjects. They seemed to follow me, as I moved they would always maintain a head-on position as if to observe me. It superficially resembles species from the Superfamily Tephritoidea but I'm not entirelt sure what it is. Any help would be great! Click on the photo for a larger version.

Fruit fly.
It is indeed a fruit fly, family Tephritidae. Not sure which genus, though.
