Paper wasp? - Polistes fuscatus - male

Paper wasp? - Polistes fuscatus - Male
Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
September 10, 2004
Is this also a paper wasp? The colors are different from the one I posted yesterday , but other features seem similar.

County?
Is Allentown in Lehigh county? Please add that info in your entries when you have time.

Moved
Moved from Polistes.

Polistes fuscatus, male (PA)
Here a colour form with very limited yellow markings.

Male paper wasp
The one you posted earlier is a female, the one here is a male. You can tell by his yellow, squarish face (female has a dark, triangular face), and his longer, hooked antennae, blunt abdomen.
