Green Stink Bug - Chinavia hilaris

Green Stink Bug - Chinavia hilaris
Greenville, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA
August 31, 2012
Size: ~½"
Found in the morning on one of the green stake posts that supports my green wire fence. I've found over the years that a number of species (some nocturnal) are often found by me on the stakes.
This is the largest Stink Bug I've seen, if that is indeed what it is. It moved slightly around the stake as I photographed it, trying to evade me it seemed. I was able because of it's movements to get a couple of angles.
It was still at the same location at noontime.
