The forewings are a match for Catocala habilis (8778). Are the underwings yellow with black margin and black strip through the yellow?

Unfortunately I never saw it fly. This was the only angle I was able to get.

Probably 8778 -- Habilis Underwing Moth -- Catocala habilis
.... Catocalas are tough, upside down moths are tougher.
