Crabro sp. - female
Very similar, not to say virtually identical, to a dark specimen of Crabro cribrarius, or a light specimen of Crabro peltarius. Both ar eurasian species, not uncommon in western Switzerland, the latter only in the mountains. A female, leaving its own burrow to hunt brachyceran Diptera of various families.

Family-Subfamily
This is a Digger Wasp from the family Sphecidae, it looks like a member of the subfamily Crabroniinae.
