Wolf Spider - Hogna frondicola

Wolf Spider - Hogna frondicola
Tuscarora State Forest, Perry County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 22, 2012
Moving in broad daylight on a little-used forestry road. Very patient photographic subject.

Moved from Alopecosa.

Moved from Spiders. Moved to genus level for now.

How do you feel about ...
Hogna frondicola?

Moved from ID Request. Maybe Alopecosa kochi?

I can sure go with the genus. Thank you. Why not A. aculeata?

Maybe Hogna carolinensis?
Is there a possibility that this is a young Hogna carolinensis?

Not likely
The white band in the center of the carapace is too wide for that species.
