Neriene digna...? - Neriene digna - male

Neriene digna...? - Neriene digna - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
September 29, 2012
Size: ~5.5mm body length
Found on the underside of a leaf just outside the yard. I can't think of what else he might be other than Neriene digna, but the coloration is really throwing me here. It's different from any of the N. digna males I've seen before. His abdomen is plumper too, though the constriction is still visible in side view. He definitely doesn't look like one of the other two Neriene species listed for BC (litigiosa, radiata). N. digna also seems to dominate the area I found him in.

N. digna
Looks good to me (Lynette's submitted images of a lighter male, too, I believe), and the palp matches Van Helsdingen's drawing, as far as I can see.

N. digna
Thanks for the confirmation, he sure caught me by surprise. :) Just found this from R. Berg, which has a similar coloration:

The consensus seems to be N. digna for that one too.
