How do you differentiate C. finitimus from C. sylvosus besides range. I'm looking at specimens from western Arkansas, and while C. finitimus hasn't been recorded from here it's rather close to the localities in KS and OK it has been collected.

From the original description
From the original description (Haldeman 1852, in Stansbury 1852):
"Allied to C. sylvosus, but somewhat wider. Blank [sic?] slightly bluish on the margin. Prothora [sic], less narrowed behind than in sylvosus, with the reflex margin and that of the elytra wider. Elytra more convex, very shining, finely punctured in lines, with three rows on each of distant [distinct?] impressed foevae. Destitute of the scabrous appearance of C. sylvosus. Fort Gates.
