Wasp
This wasp - mimicking fly is a Syrphidae, genus Chrysotoxum. Maybe a syrphid expert will put a sp. name on it for us.

Syrphid
Something down close to those odd Myoleptas. Can't quite place it.

Nope...
just a very good mimic. Unfortunately I'm good with wasps, so you'll have to wait until someone good with flies comes around to ID it to a lower taxon.

soldier fly
I would guess some sort of Stratiomyid from the antennae, but it does not seem to have a close match in the Guide.
Very pretty fly! good shot.
