Long shot...can anyone tell the species?

Yes
- unusually for nymphs, this is documented on a University of Kentucky website. Acrosternum hilare (the link to the website is on the info page). Those black dots and leading yellow/orange edge on the later instar nymphs seem to be pretty consistent.
