I belive this is a Hemaris thysbe(Clearwings). It was feeding on viburnum. This link has another photo: http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/hthysbe.htm

I agree
the hostplant is right, and it matches Wagner's description(1) and pictures, including orange spiracles with white spots at top and bottom, and bluish curved horn.
