Blue Mud Dauber Nests - Trypoxylon politum

Found two Blue Mud Dauber nests under overhang of my parents front porch.

I didn't see anything like Tr
I didn't see anything like Trypoxylon politum flying around these nests. It appeared to be Chalybion californicum. I am just curious what confirmed this ID?

Chalybion often reshape the nests of other wasps, so they may have planned on reusing this but they didn't build it.
