Chinese Mantid - Tenodera aridifolia female - Tenodera sinensis - female

Chinese Mantid - Tenodera aridifolia female - Tenodera sinensis - Female
Greenville, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA
October 1, 2012
Size: 3 ⅜" or 85 mm
I came across this very large mantid in my yard on a stand of Sedum. Given the burgeoning abdomen, I think it's a female. She didn't move, except to turn her head to watch me as I took photos of her.
I left her as she was and returned in a half-hour. The only change was that she had turned around 180 degrees. Again, except for her head, she didn't move. I hope I'll be able to find the "frothy" egg case
I'm guessing she will deposit nearby.
