Hemileuca sp - Fen/Bog Buck Moth - Hemileuca maia - female

Hemileuca sp - Fen/Bog Buck Moth - Hemileuca maia - Female
Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA
September 30, 2012
I don't think there is a category for these. Also referred to here in NJ as Schweitzer's Buck Moth.
I have not seen it myself yet, but I was told this species, at least at this location feeds on Shrubby Cinquefoil.
I added all of the photographs together since the female shown in all of the photos is the of the same individual.
