Flea Beetle - Phyllotreta

Flea Beetle - Phyllotreta
Plum Island, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
October 5, 2012
Size: 2.4mm
Is this one of the Systena sp.?

Phyllotreta sp.
Moved from Flea Beetles. Specimen now a photo-voucher, thanks Tom.

Unfortunately, the immaculate species in the genus need a modern revision. This group contains some common pest species, as well as a coastal species found on sea rocket.

Phyllotreta cruciferae?
Brad, I was checking the info page for Phyllotreta cruciferae and is the identification section right or is it part of the confusion about the genus needing revision?

it could be that species
but there a lot of Phyllotreta species. I would say its part of the confusion.

I'll add a quote from American Beetles to the genus page.
