phoebis or colias? - Phoebis sennae - Male
Reston, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 30, 2012
couldn't get upper wing surface, but in flight (very rapid) they seemed to have no markings, clear yellow. Resting on Celosia, in mid afternoon.

Moved from ID Request.

Phoebis
See wing shape and markings. Angular forewing is a good feature. Colias is usually one colour with a couple of distinct spots unlike the multitude of spots all over this one. This is Phoebis sennae.
