since these are dark in the center, might they be Whitefly parasitoids?

I don't know
but I'd guess it's possible that many could be parasitized.
I looked for more images on line and some whiteflies look like they do have dark centers in this (pupa?) stage. But with some of the ones I confined (reared), the dark ones had wasps emerge rather than whiteflies.
Having said this, I know nothing about whiteflies.

These are "pupae"
...and this species has a diagnostic dark dorsal stripe on the pupa.
