Size: 26 mm
Found dead in rabbitbrush (Ericameria). Posed on Baileya multiradiata for photos. Perhaps this individual was blown in with monsoonal rains?
For ID consulted with Jim Hogue, also University of Nebraska Generic Guide to New World Scarab Beetles.
