Looks very close to Spilosoma
Looks very close to Spilosoma dubia, one of the Tiger Moths

 
We never realized how much these also look
like Simyra henrici, but those seem to have fewer, shorter bristles, with more black bristles mixed in. We also tend to see them in wetter habitats as their name, Cattail Moth would indicate. And with this pictured on what looks like Liatris squarrosa, we're guessing this is a reasonably dry grassland image.
