Green Spider - Peucetia viridans

Green Spider - Peucetia viridans
Orange, Orange County, California, USA
October 12, 2012
Size: body - 11/16 inches
I found this spider hanging on my front screen door, early in the evening. It didn't seem to mind me flashing my camera at it, only started to move a little after the final shot. The abdomen resembles a narrow boat, elongated and slim. The legs have spike-like hairs on them. The color is brilliant green, with red accents on the back of the abdomen.
