Unknown Weevil - Conotrachelus seniculus

Unknown Weevil - Conotrachelus seniculus
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
June 12, 2012
Size: 5 mm BL
Found on back porch late-night. This guy has been kicking around for a while in my Search file and I am unable to ID it. It looks very different from similar weevils in this area, mainly due to the streak running from the front to the back of the head and the darkish striped coloring. I am inclined to lean in the direction of snout beetle rather than weevil.....

Moved from Conotrachelus.

Conotrachelus seniculus?
I think this is C. seniculus.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

I'm thinking a weevil in the genus
Conotrachelus

i'm with Skip
need a dorsal to proceed

Plum curculio is
a sometime visitor in the area so it wouldn't be out of line.....
