Explanation of Names
Euptilon sinuatum (Currie 1903)
Identification
Readily identified by the ornate, white-marked abdomen (with segments having alternating bands and paired spots) and the dark, sinuate mark in the forewing.

Purenleon albovarius has a similar dark, sinuate line in the forewing but differs in the darker abdomen having only narrow pale brown stripes, interconnected crossveins, and an additional dark line at the base of the forewing.


Purenleon connexus is also similar in wing patterning but differs in the darker abdomen having only narrow pale brown stripes. Like E. sinuatum, there are no interconnections between the crossveins and no basal mark on the forewing.
