Found by a friend near La Crosse, WI in June under a log.

Now, this might just be a 'duh' moment, but humor me: Is the male the specimen at the top & the female the one at the bottom? I know some beetles (like stag beetles & rhinoceros beetles) can have major & minor (big & little) forms of males, so that's why I'm asking.
