The picture was taken at app. noon, the insect was on a Lantana leave (I believe)

Please crop your images as close to "just the bug" as possible. Only you and the editors have the option of viewing the full-size image. Everyone else is left looking at a tiny bug in a lot of unnecessary background. :)

Oncopeltus nymph, I presume
Maybe O. cayensis...



...but the nymphs of other species are similar, so it's hard (for me) to say for sure.

 
Erythrischius
O. cayensis & O. sexmaculatus nymphs have an extension of the red pattern toward theth tergite.

This (just as the specimen you figure) is either O. sandarachatus or O. cingulifer. More likely the first one.
