Unfortunately I think nobody seen your question yet.
If nobody have a subscription to a photo no possibility to see/observe a new comment under that photo, except when it is happened for someone to look especially to this photo.
It is just happened for me to look here. For such questions it is a good idea to be put in Forum section. Probably in General discussions.
Even if the field of BG is strictly for North America in some cases are accepted photos from others areas if not yet specimens photos in BG and the species is recorded in BG field area.
I take the permission to mention your question/comment in the forum. Maybe they'll be some comments / answers. Even if will not be, I think that your commentary about the host plant, Ricinus communis, is interesting to be read by more people.
Uploading photos it's not complicated. Clik on the tab "add image" that appears in the top left when viewed the "Images" of a taxon (species, genus, family ...)
It will open a page for submission of photos and follow the indicated steps. Only, if the picture is not from the BG area, it will be moved to a section called "Frass" and the photo will be automatically delete in 30 days if there will not be comments to keep the photo as useful for guide. (By exception, as I mentioned above, sometimes photos taken in other areas are kept until will be photos from BG area.)
