Found on the doorstep. A number of these shriveled spiders turn up in the fall, after laying their eggs. They seem to guard their egg sacs for a few days and then wander off.
This one was pretty lethargic and didn't even protest when I gently flipped her over for the ventral shot. I tried feeding her, but she doesn't seem interested. I suspect she may be dying. I left her in a sheltered place around the side of the house.
