I am questioning my date - it seems late?

Blue Dasher?

I'd buy that.
I'd buy that.

Not necessarily
Some species continue emerging quite late in the season, especially migratory ones (we had Pantala flavescens emerging in Colorado this year well into September, and it was not a long autumn by Colorado standards).

I feel like I should know what yours is, but it's eluding me--hopefully someone else will come along and ID it, which would help determine whether your date is likely.

(Great photo, by the way.)
