Millipede: Anadenobolus? - Anadenobolus
Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
October 26, 2012
It's millipede season in South Florida. Been reading a lot about Anadenobolus monilicornis, but it was apparently introduced here in 2001 (same year I moved to Florida). But I've been seeing lots of them the whole time I've been here. Is there a "native" look-alike?

Moved from ID Request.

Matt's ID looks good to me :)

comments from an expert at the bottom of that page (you may have already seen it....but just in case)

Thanks, perfect match!
Thanks, Matt.

That was the perfect page to send me to.
Now I don't need to upload my picture of the red one, either, because Rowland Shelley's comment addresses both of them! (I found his checklist to Florida milliped fauna online.)

Red one
Just because you don't need an ID on your "red one," doesn't mean we might not be able to use it in the guide. Thanks

Red millipede
True; I hadn't thought of that. And it might could be that what I think looks just like Trigoniulus corallinus might be something else entirely. I'll upload a shot of it shortly.

cool little guys aren't they!
