Taeniopoda eques

Taeniopoda eques
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
October 19, 2012
Size: 2.5 inches
This gorgeous hopper was found chilling near the curb on one of our neighborhood streets. It made no attempt to leap away when I bent down to pick it up, and seemed content to crawl around my arm and hand while I snapped photos, which I initially posted on facebook.com where my bug-loving friend identified it and asked me to post it here.
