Wasp? - Pseudomasaris phaceliae - female

Wasp? - Pseudomasaris phaceliae - Female
Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA
Size: larger than apis mellifer

Date
The date was listed as January 12, 2012. Since all seem in agreement that this is incorrect I removed it.

Date surely incorrect!
Please fix

Good point -
I put the photo through i-Photo which usually gives information as to date and time taken, or last processed. I get June 17, 2012, 1:51:53 PM. Date you processed the photo, or date the photo was taken?
Any more information as to location? By the way, Albuquerque is in Bernalillo County, which doesn't include the town of Bernalillo. Do you recall where you were? Perhaps Sandia Mtns., i.e. Sandia Peak?
P.S. I've corrected the county from 'Albuquerque' to Bernalillo. The photo was probably taken some time between April and June. Never received a reply from the person who posted this.

Moved
Moved from Pseudomasaris.

Based on appearance
as well as location my guess is P. phaceliae, but I'm not certain. Certainly a female.

The experts will let you know if I'm anywhere close. :)

Is does look like a pollen wasp. I didn't know their was a wasp that fed it's young pollen and nectar.
