Southern Stink Bug Nymph - Nezara viridula

Several of these were on my Snowberry bush, which is also being affected by some fungus. Do Stink Bugs spread fungus, or eat fungi? It seemed awfully coincidental that they were hanging out in teh worst parts of the plant.
