NURSERY WEB SPIDER - Pisaurina mira - female

NURSERY WEB SPIDER - Pisaurina mira - Female
Greenville, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA
August 25, 2001
Size: ~1.5" (sans legs)
Again a much more realistic color that I am editing in place of the ones originally sent with the heavily blue tinge. I guess back in 2001 they were "cutting edge". And, I was very much a novice with the software.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Yes I agree it's a P. mira and that the color was off. This often happens when the white balance is not set correctly (when it's on the sun setting and you are shooting in the shade). I put a warm photo filter on the image to pull the browns back in. I think it looks more natural now.

Pisaurina mira
I think your ID is correct. Although they are nice pictures the spider appears to be an unnatural shade of blue.

Coloration
Again, thank you both pointing out the two original photos. I agree they were too blue.
Now, after going back and editing them, my photos of this species are conveying the actual colors.
