strange larvae

strange larvae
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA
August 18, 2004
Size: 1.5mm
These were collected from a leaf and soil litter sample in New Jersey several years ago in August. I will get more details when I finish sorting the samples, and will fill in the data fields then. This species seemed legless and antennae-less??

Interesting
I am reminded of this

which hatched from eggs tucked inside an agromyzid (Melanagromyza sp.) fly puparium in an herbaceous stem...
but mandibles on yours are bigger and legs less developed, I think. Maybe resemblance is just b/c both are very young (first instar?) beetle larvae.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Curculionoidea.
Probably Curculionidae.
