Moved
Moved from Grass Skippers.

Female
Fiery

This little guy
is a butterfly. As a rule, butterflies have knobs at the end of the antenna and moths don't. But, that's as far as I can go with an ID for California butterflies.

Moth?
Thanks for your help. I'll look at the antennae more closely next time...

Skipper
Easily taken for a moth. Don't know species, but Fiery is common in CA.

Moth?
Thanks for your time and for giving me a name to look up.

Woodland Skipper
Look's like a Woodland Skipper (Ochlodes sylvanoides). A common western skipper found in all sorts of habitats.

Moth?
Thanks for the ID. You and others who take time to comment are a boon to the entomologically challenged.
