Bee on Whiskbroom Parsley - Andrena - female

Bee on Whiskbroom Parsley - Andrena - Female
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
May 25, 2007
Size: BL 8.5-9 mm
This bee has 3-cells with the middle one square. Possibly an Andrena? She is collecting pollen on Whiskbroom Parsley(Harbouria trachypleura, in the Parsley-Carrot Family, Apiaceae. This is a monotypic genus restricted to a narrow band on the Eastern Slope of the Rockies. In this first photo she has relatively little pollen. I will post two more photos.
