S. lineola has a brownish-orange head with a dark band between the eyes, and two dark round spots on the pronotum

Habitat
fields, gardens, yards, suburban areas; adults are nocturnal and come to light

larvae and adults feed mainly on insects, live or dead, but will also eat germinated but not emerged seeds of corn, sorghum, other grains, vegetables, and weeds in soil
