Bathyphantes - Bathyphantes alascensis - male

Bathyphantes - Bathyphantes alascensis - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
November 13, 2012
Size: ~2.5-3mm body length
Found on the side of the house. This guy looks like a Bathyphantes to me. His palps like a pretty good match for B. alascensis in Ivie 1969 to me. I only count 2 prolateral spines on tibia I, though.

The palp shots took some patience to get; he had this uncanny ability to start wiggling his palps exactly when I nudged them into position.
