These guys kept coming and going from this hole. Maybe this is their hive. Any idea on genus?

Well, we can get you to tribe at least: Augochlorini. I think only one of the three genera habitually nests in rotten wood, so we might be able to give you a genus ID at somt point. Very nice image that shows the texture of this insect.
