Eucera (Synahlonia)
male

date would have been helpful

Spelling
I believe the subgenus should be spelled Synhalonia

yes, Synhalonia is correct
thanks for catching my typo

Since you're not responding to the requests
for a date, we're guessing you don't have that recorded. The metadata says date created, 5/8/2006. If you think that is incorrect for some reason, do you happen to know when the flower in the image blooms? Is that a Mariposa? At least that would help us narrow the time slot.

That date...
is correct. I think it is a Lilac Mariposa Lily, Calochortus splendens, which blooms in late spring.

It's good to add dates to your posts
That way, when your bee is identified, it will be automatically be logged on a page with state and date, accessible by the Data tab so we can all get an idea of temporal and geographical distribution.

Getting more on topic, might yours bee a sweat bee?
