Odd looking Wild Rose Galls - Torymus bedeguaris

Odd looking Wild Rose Galls - Torymus bedeguaris
In Westwood - elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA
November 14, 2012
This photo was taken on November 14, 2012, and shows the two gall-like growths as well as the six wasp specimens. I am thinking that these wasps are not Mossy Rose Gall Wasps, but rather parasites on the insects that actually caused the gall-like growths. See also the close up image of these six specimens.
