Variegated Meadowhawk
Moved from ID Request.

Photographing Dragonflies
Kim,
When a dragonfly is perched on a twig like this, wait with your camera still in shooting position and focused on the twig. It will return 90% of the time to the same twig. BTW I'm thinking this is one of the Meadowhawks, probably a Variegated. I'd wait for an ode specialist to ID.
Robert

Thanks
Thanks for the tip. I thought it looked rather red for variegated, but I know there are variations. We'll see what other say.

Variegated meadowhawk
