Is this a species of Geotrupidae? - Nitidula flavomaculata
U Highway, approximately 2 miles south of Wright/Douglas County line. 37.04401N, 92.52739W, 1248' elevation. 1220 CST., Douglas County, Missouri, USA

Size: 6 & 5 mm
Two individuals found, in WELL-rotted deer carcass in road ditch. In company of two much larger Necrodes surinamensis specimens. These have eleven antennal segments, with 3-segmented club at end. Would like to learn genus/species. Seemed to key to something in Bolboceratinae, but these specimens seemed much more elongated than those shown in "Scarabaeoid Beetles of Nebraska".

Geotrupidae & other scarabs have lamellate, strongly asymmetrical club
Q: what does "6 & 5 mm" mean? just one specimen here...
