White Banded Wasp - Monobia quadridens

White Banded Wasp - Monobia quadridens
Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA
August 12, 2012
Size: 1"

Moved
Moved from Potter and Mason Wasps. It has a lot of white but it is not Euodynerus bidens (whose male has white on the tibiae).

Cropped and moved for expert attention.
Moved from ID Request.

Interesting one! In your neck of the woods, I'd generally expect Monobia quadridens--but this specimen seems to have entirely too much white on the thorax. I'll be interested to see where the experts place it.
