Size: FW est. 12-14mm
Originally thought to be an Aglossa sp., this moth has recently been redetermined by Ed Knudson as the Chrysaugine Acallis gripalis. At porchlight adjacent to heavily wooded (live oak-hackberry-bald cypress) bottomland near the Frio River.

Moved from Aglossa.

Det. by Ed Knudson to be Acallis gripalis (Hodges #5541; Pyralidae, Chrysauginae). See MPG page here, which shows no Texas records but the species is listed for Texas by Knudson & Bordelon.
